Spa Facials.

Our Spa Facials are a perfect gift or as a gift for yourself as a one hour treatment designed to cleanse and revitalise plus soothe the senses. Below are just two examples of how they can improve your skin:

DRY SKIN

Dehydration

  Loss of elasticity

   Inflamed

Our skin therapist may choose:

To utilise clinically proven bioactive agents to provide DNA and cell membrane protection, thus reducing skin vulnerability and healing stress induced damage. External and internal stresses such as sun, pollution and lifestyle may lead to damage of the delicate balance of the skin. To address this, we may incorporate active ingredients such as:

Hyaluronic Acid – naturally occurring in the skin provides long lasting moisture and hydration.

Lactobacillus – ‘friendly bacterial’ that boosts natural immune system, improving the natural skin protection mechanism against stress-induced symptoms.

QuintescineTM – a deep penetrating antioxidant peptide that protects against collagen breakdown.

Zinc Oxide – soothes the skin and helps reduce inflammation and redness.

DULL COMPLEXION

Fine Lines

  Dull Complexion

    Lack of vitality

Our skin therapist may choose:

To incorporate ingredients that will assist in protecting the skin’s natural defence barrier that affects skin’s longevity. As we age it is important to maintain a healthy and well-functioning skin barrier to preserve the skins natural healthy and young appearance. Dryness, uneven skin texture, lack of ‘glow’ and pronounced fine lines and wrinkles are most commonly seen from the aging process. To address these common issues, we may incorporate active ingredients such as;

Alp Rose Stem-Cells – protects and maintains skins resistance to environmental aggressions, such as UV damage.

Flax Extract – boosts intracellular lipid synthesis in the stratum corneum. Improving skin texture and elasticity.

Glycolic Acid – a gentle AHA that exfoliates, removes residues and stimulate cell regeneration, improving skin appearance and texture.

Green Tea Extract – an antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals and enhances skin tone and health.

Let us change your skin.

Prescriptive Facials.

During a Prescriptive treatment we will diagnose and treat many skin conditions or concerns. Below are just three examples (just to name a few!) of what we may use to treat the outlined skin concerns described. All you need to worry about is simply booking a Prescriptive Facial, we take care of the rest!

DEHYDRATION

Dull complexion

  Loss of elasticity

   Dehydration

Our skin therapist may choose:

To incorporate ingredients that will assist in deeply hydrating the skin, brighten and tighten up your complexion. As we age our cells become weaker, collagen production begins to slow down, thus leading to tired, saggy looking skin. Excessive exposure to the sun, smoking and pollutants that are present in our environment all contribute to loss of elasticity, dehydration and a dull appearance. These factors plus many more can hasten the aging process, which in turn leads to the destruction of collagen, resulting in dull, dehydrated, loose skin.

Being frequently exposed to the UV rays of the sun also leads to dry and dull skin.

  • Lactic Acid (L) – Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) hydrates and exfoliates, reducing wrinkles and pigmentation discolorations.
  • Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract – Instant tensing, lifting, anti-wrinkle.
  • Alpha-arbutin – promotes skin brightening, blocks epidermal melanin biosynthesis by inhibiting Tyrosinase.
  • Hyaluronic Acid (Normal weight) – Inhibits trans-epidermal water loss, reduces inflammation, assists wound healing and aids barrier.
  • Hyaluronic Acid (ultra-low weight) – penetrates to increase skin volume from within and accelerates normal
  • Retinaldehyde – Plant derived, speed up the healing process of the skin, inhibits oil production and repairs connective tissue, pulls healthier skin cells to the skins surface quicker. Highly effective for anti-aging, acne and cellular repair and an elite collagen booster.

SUN DAMAGE

Sun damage

  Uneven skin tone/texture

    Photo ageing

Our skin therapist may choose:

To incorporate a range of ingredients specifically designed to soften photo damage and smooth skin tone and texture. Photo damage contributes to premature ageing. It can be caused by a range of different reasons. While UV sun ray exposure is the most common, hormonal changes, burn damage and medications can contribute to noticeable skin pigmentation changes. To address this, we may incorporate active ingredients such as;

  • Proline (L) – a chiral amino acid with moisturising and moisture retention properties, improves skin texture and aids collagen formation, promotes the repair of damaged tissue, promotes health of connective tissue.
  • Green Tea Leaf Extract – rich in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and UV protection.
  • Zinc Oxide – a natural mineral that protects the skin from UVA and UVB rays and effective for healing the skin
  • Retinaldehyde – Plant derived, speeds up the healing process of the skin, inhibits oil production and repairs connective tissue, pulls healthier skin cells to the skins surface quicker. Highly effective for anti-aging, acne and cellular repair and an elite collagen booster.
  • Symwhite – anti-pigmentation/lightening compound derived from scotch pine bark.

BREAKOUTS

Congestion

  Breakouts

   Reactive

Our skin therapist may choose:

A range of highly active ingredients to address problematic skin without aggravating or drying out the skins natural defense barrier. The misconception that problematic skin only occurs in the teen years is not true. Congestion, breakouts, sensitivity and redness can occur at any stage of life. These can be caused by a range of internal and external factors such as lifestyle, hormones, skin care products, stress, lack of sleep, genetics and pollution. To effectively but gently address these skin ailments we may include some of the following active ingredients.

  • Salicylic Acid – Beta-Hydroxy Acid (BHA) provides exfoliation preventing clogged pores and smooths fine lines/wrinkles. Stimulates new cell growth, reduces inflammation.
  • Mandelic Acid (L) – Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) Derived from almonds, is anti-bacterial and can ameliorate photo-aged skin, acne, abnormal pigmentation and improve skin texture.
  • Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil – rich in vitamin E and antioxidants that help replace skin moisture and elasticity, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial.
  • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – regular use improves the skin structure,  an anti-inflammatory, regulates oil flow and accelerates healing of the skin.
